What are the different finishes available for custom size banners?
We offer different finishing options for our custom size vinyl banners. You can choose what suits you the best.
Hemmed edges with eyelets: Adding rings in the corner with hems adds extra stability and durability to the banners. You can also hang your banners up easily. This finishing has rings every 1000mm or 500mm of the banner depending on your choice. The banner is also trimmed, hemmed and finished to perfection. You can hang these banners up. However, the maximum banner size these rings can hold is 150 x 330cm.
Hemmed edges only: In this finish, the banner is just hemmed. There are no rings attached. Thus, you cannot hang your banner up.
Rod pockets ( 75mm Lay Flat ): The banner is trimmed,hemmed with rod pockets added to the banner.
Can I buy elastic bands for my fabric banners and do they help in hanging them up?
Yes, you can buy elastic bands with your custom fabric banners. These bands can help you hang up your banners easily and sturdily if you have rings in the banner.
Add 5 mm bleed all around.
To allow slight cutting differences in production, always add a bleed of 5 mm bleed around all edges of your design. Make sure background images, colours, pictures and layouts extend into the bleed area to avoid leaving white lines as a result of cutting variations. Best to submit your file with printer's marks and crop marks.
Convert fonts to outlines or embed all the fonts.
Make sure you convert fonts to outlines or embed all the fonts when saving it to PDF.
Fonts should be at least 12 pt.
All Fonts used in your artwork should be at least 12 pt.
Check your artwork on overprint.
Ensure no elements in your artwork are set on overprint. Unless you want this effect in your design. The degree of transparency in printing process depends on many factors like paper, ink and the printing method used.
Use color mode as CMYK .
Prepare all your files using CMYK color mode. Make sure the color mode is not set to RGB. If you are not sure of the colour mode of your file, we can always convert this for you. Its important to keep in mind this can cause the colours to change from the original artwork file.
Resolution of over 150 dpi.
Make sure the resolution of the images and graphics in your artwork are over 150 dpi to make images look crisp.
Keep 10 mm safety margin all around.
Keep all images and text at least 10 mm inside from the edge of the finished size.
