Rigid signs are printed direct to a solid board rather than onto fabric or vinyl, so they hold their shape without a frame. Which rigid sign material should I choose?

Corflute signs — corrugated polypropylene, the everyday choice for short-term outdoor signage. Lightweight, weather-resistant and cheap enough to use in volume. UV inks hold colour for roughly 12–18 months in direct Australian sun. Best for real estate boards, site signs, election signs, event signage and anything that needs to go up fast.

Foam PVC signs — a smooth, flat, rigid board with a clean printed face. Best for reception and office signs, retail displays and indoor or sheltered signage where finish matters more than the lowest price.

If you are unsure, corflute is the safe default for anything outdoors and temporary; foam PVC for anything indoors that customers will see up close.

Single-sided or two-faced?

Flat corflute, foam PVC and flute board signs are printed single-sided; where a flat sign has to be read from both directions, mount two back to back. The shaped products are different: A-frames, triangle signs and bollard covers are printed on two or three faces as standard, because the shape puts a printed face in each direction.
