A sign board is a flat printed panel — the everyday workhorse of business signage. What separates a good one from a bad one is almost never the printing; it is picking the right board for where the sign will live. Get that wrong and an indoor board warps in a car park within a month, or you pay for a rigid panel that never leaves a foyer.

Things worth deciding before you order

• Single or double sided. Anywhere people approach from two directions — a footpath, a corridor, a driveway — doubles the number of people who read it, for far less than twice the price.
• How it will be fixed. Eyelets for cable-tying to a fence, drilled holes for screwing to a wall, stakes for pushing into ground, or a frame for freestanding. Deciding this now avoids drilling a finished sign later.
• Reading distance. A rough guide: about 25mm of letter height for every 10 metres a driver or pedestrian needs to read it from.
• Replacement panels. If you already own A-frames, order the printed panel on its own rather than a whole new unit.

Safety and compliance boards

Australian Standard AS 1319 governs how safety signage is coloured and shaped — danger is white on a red oval, warning is black on a yellow triangle, mandatory is white on a blue circle, prohibition is a red circle with a slash, emergency information is white on green. Common questions

What is the difference between corflute and foam board?

Corflute is fluted polypropylene — hollow ribs running through it, light, and weatherproof, so it is the outdoor choice. PVC foam board is solid, heavier and smoother-faced, which looks better indoors but does not belong in weather.

How long does a corflute sign last outdoors?

Six to twelve months in Australian conditions, depending on sun exposure. It is a campaign material rather than permanent signage.

Can I get holes or eyelets?

Yes. Tell us how you plan to fix it and we will finish it accordingly — it is far easier to do at production than with a drill afterwards.

Do you do custom sizes?

Yes. Standard sizes are cheapest because they nest efficiently on the sheet, but custom sizes are available on the corflute and foam board products.

Can I order just one?

Yes, though boards get substantially cheaper per unit in quantity because most of the cost is in setup rather than material.

How quickly can I have them?
