Questions people ask

What is the difference between Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha?

They are two separate festivals and the signage is different for each. Eid al-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan and the month of fasting — usually one to three days, and the one with the most shopping and feasting around it. Eid al-Adha falls about seventy days later at the close of the Hajj pilgrimage, marking the story of Ibrahim's sacrifice; it runs three to four days and is often called the greater Eid. Both move about eleven days earlier each Gregorian year. We keep the artwork and the wording separate for the two rather than reusing one for the other.

When is Eid al-Fitr?

It is the first day of Shawwal, the day after Ramadan ends, and it is confirmed locally by moon sighting — so the exact date can differ by a day between communities. It moves about eleven days earlier each Gregorian year. Order about three weeks out so the proof is approved with time to spare; we print and dispatch within 24 hours of the approved proof and metro delivery is two to three business days.

When is Eid al-Adha?

The tenth day of Dhu al-Hijjah, about seventy days after Eid al-Fitr and at the end of the Hajj. It drifts the same eleven days earlier each Gregorian year. Because it follows al-Fitr so closely, a lot of mosques and community groups order both sets together and change only the wording layer — the artwork, the frame and the stands are reused.

Do you print an eid banner?

Yes — open the Eid Mubarak design on the pull up banner page (800 × 2000 mm on its own stand) or the fabric banner page and the artwork rewrites onto it with your date and the venue. The backdrop wall above is the same design at 1.5 m for the photos.

Which part of the eid decorations do you print?

What goes where for Eid?

The Essentials package is the 1.5 m backdrop wall and ten corflute signs — the backdrop wall behind the photos, the corflute signs on the gate, the window and the fence. Standard adds a pull up banner and four bollard covers (the pull up banner at the door or the counter, the bollard covers in the car park). Complete adds a round table throw, a table runner and a teardrop flag (the round table throw on the cake or the raffle table, the table runner down the main table, the teardrop flag on the footpath). Every line is optional: untick what you do not need, or add a line twice for a second design.

Ordering, sizes & delivery

Can I put my business name, the date and the start time on these?

Yes — every design here is a template. The corflute signs carry Your Business Name, the phone number and the web address as editable layers; the backdrops and bollard covers carry the event name, the date and the time. Open the design, type yours, change the colours if you like and save; there is no extra charge, and next year you reorder with the new date in a minute.

What sizes are these?

Corflute signs are portrait — 600 × 900 mm is the usual shop-window and gate size, and the package below uses 600 × 900 mm at ten a set ($17.88 each) because corflute has a $136 minimum. The backdrop wall is 1500 mm wide by 2300 mm high, an aluminium frame with a stretch-fabric skin, and there is a 3 m version for a stage. Selfie frames are 600 × 900 mm (Small) or 800 × 1200 mm (Large). Bollard covers slip over a standard car-park bollard and are sized on their product page.

How long before Eid should I order?

Once you approve the proof we print and dispatch within 24 hours, and metro delivery is usually two to three business days after that. Two weeks out is comfortable. If you are tighter than that, the package builder above has an urgent 48-hour production option.

How much is delivery?

Pickup is free from our factory at 90 Australis Drive, Derrimut VIC 3026 — we email you when it is ready, usually the same day it prints. Or we ship Australia-wide: metro delivery is from about $14.95 and the exact figure for your postcode is worked out at checkout before you pay. There are a few remote areas we cannot reach; if you are unsure, call 1300 721 614 with your postcode.

Do you print Eid signs in Melbourne and deliver to Sydney, Brisbane and Perth?

Yes. Printing happens in our own factory in Derrimut, Melbourne, and we ship Australia-wide — Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, the Gold Coast, Adelaide, Canberra, Hobart and the regions in between. Melbourne pickup is free; delivery for your postcode is worked out at checkout.

Will the signs survive outside?

The corflute and foam board signs are waterproof and UV stable, so a backyard, a park or a marquee is fine. The fabric backdrops and throws are indoor or fine-weather items — they are not weighted for wind.

What if something arrives damaged or the print is not right?

Every order is covered by our money-back print guarantee. If the print quality is not right, send us the order number and a photo and we will reprint it or refund it. Approving the digital proof covers the wording and layout — the print quality is on us.

Can I change my order after I have paid?

Yes, if you are quick. Tell us the order number and exactly what to change before you approve the digital proof — that is when changes are easiest. Once the proof is approved and the job is printing we may not be able to alter it, but we will always tell you your options.

What if I cannot find a design I like?

Start from the closest one above and rewrite it, or send us your own print-ready artwork on the product page. If you would rather not touch it at all, our designers will lay it out for you for a flat fee per product type.
