Why vinyl outdoors

Vinyl is the material for anything tied to a fence, hung across a shopfront or left out in weather. It is waterproof, it does not stretch when wet, and hemmed edges with corner eyelets give you something solid to cable-tie through.

For a Brisbane summer, two details matter. Take the eyelets — every corner, and mid-span on anything over three metres, because a storm will find any weak point. And consider mesh instead of solid vinyl on an exposed fence: the perforations let wind through instead of turning the banner into a sail.

Vinyl or fabric?

Vinyl for outdoors and anything that gets wet. Fabric for indoors, for photography backdrops, and for anything that needs to fold rather than roll. Fabric under lights has no glare; vinyl does.

Sizes

Any size. Common ones are 3m x 1m for a fence run and 2m x 1m for a shopfront. Tell us how it is being fixed and we will advise on eyelet placement.
