What materials are available for feather flags?
We offer feather flags in double-wear polyester. It is a highly durable material and works great both indoors and outdoors. In fact, it is one of the best available materials for printing using the latest dye-sublimation techniques.
Are feather flags durable?
Feather flags last for about 3-4 months if used extensively. The life span of these flags can be extended if used carefully. Bring the flags inside during extreme weather conditions to increase its durability.
How much wind power can feather flags take?
Feather flags can take up to 6 gale force of wind power. Remove the flags if the wind power reaches 7 gale force. This will increase the life span and durability of your feather flags.

It has a flat square-shaped bottom that works perfectly for indoor and outdoor settings. It is also ideal for areas with strong winds as the iron base adds extra weight that keeps the flag in place. What are the different production techniques used by Vivid Ads?
Vivid Ads uses the sublimation technique for the production offeather flags:
Sublimation involves the printing of feather flags at high temperature. It is an environment-friendly printing method that uses a water-based ink that is directly attached to the printing material. The ink is integrated into the material while the printed material remains waterproof and flexible.
How are feather flags finished?
All of our feather flags are finished with a tunnel on the left side. We also provide an extra solid part on the top of the funnel which prevents the flag from any damage from the flag pole.
Which materials do you use to make flagpoles?
Our flagpoles are made from fibreglass or aluminium. They are finished with high-quality digital print in full colour. The flagpoles are lightweight but strong and durable and offer 360-degree free rotation. The flagpoles are easy to carry, thanks to their modular pole construction. Fibreglass adds strength and robustness to the flagpole which is not possible if only aluminium is used.
Why do standard feather flags come with a black flag tunnel?
Our standard feather flags have a black flag tunnel as the flagpole they come with is also black.
What is the best way to set up a feather flag?
When setting up your feather flag, pull up the flag as far as possible through the flag. It will tightly pull the flag and prevent it from creasing or damaging easily.
What’s the diameter of the flagpole that comes with the feather flag?
The flagpoles that come with the feather flags have a diameter of ±2cm.

Add 5 mm bleed all around.
To allow slight cutting differences in production, always add a bleed of 5 mm bleed around all edges of your design. Make sure background images, colours, pictures and layouts extend into the bleed area to avoid leaving white lines as a result of cutting variations. Best to submit your file with printer's marks and crop marks.
Convert fonts to outlines or embed all the fonts.
Make sure you convert fonts to outlines or embed all the fonts when saving it to PDF.
Fonts should be at least 12 pt.
All Fonts used in your artwork should be at least 12 pt.
Check your artwork on overprint.
Ensure no elements in your artwork are set on overprint. Unless you want this effect in your design. The degree of transparency in printing process depends on many factors like paper, ink and the printing method used.
Use color mode as CMYK .
Prepare all your files using CMYK color mode. Make sure the color mode is not set to RGB. If you are not sure of the colour mode of your file, we can always convert this for you. Its important to keep in mind this can cause the colours to change from the original artwork file.
Resolution of over 150 dpi.
Make sure the resolution of the images and graphics in your artwork are over 150 dpi to make images look crisp.
Keep 10 mm safety margin all around.
Keep all images and text at least 10 mm inside from the edge of the finished size.
