Open house signs are perfect for driving traffic to homes for sale, apartments for rent and even for retail business tours.   • How close can open house signs be to each other?

    Only one open house sign can be placed at the immediate points of access to the property along each arterial highway.

  • Can I attach signs to utility poles?

    Signs may NOT be affixed to utility poles, trees, traffic control devices, or obstruct the public right-of-way. Signs may not create traffic or safety hazards.

  • What is the maximum size for real estate/open house signs?

    Real Estate signs located on the subject property are limited to maximum 8 sq. ft. and 6 ft. in height. Open House signs are limited to max 6 sq. ft. and 4 ft. in height.

  • How long can the signs be left up?

    Open House Signs can be installed in the morning and must be removed by sunset each day.

  • Where can I put open house signs?

    One open house sign may be placed on the subject property and one sign may be placed at the immediate points of access to the residential tract or It can be on either side of the street, but only one. The sign may not create a traffic or safety hazard. Signs may not be placed in street medians, dividers, on street signs, traffic control devices, telephone poles, fire hydrants, or obstruct the public right-of-way including sidewalk.

  • Add 5 mm bleed all around.

    To allow slight cutting differences in production, always add a bleed of 5 mm bleed around all edges of your design. Make sure background images, colours, pictures and layouts extend into the bleed area to avoid leaving white lines as a result of cutting variations. Best to submit your file with printer's marks and  crop marks.

  • Convert fonts to outlines or embed all the fonts.

    Make sure you convert fonts to outlines or embed all the fonts when saving it to PDF.  

  • Fonts should be at least 12 pt.

    All Fonts used in your artwork should be at least 12 pt.  

  • Check your artwork on overprint.

    Ensure no elements in your artwork are set on overprint. Unless you want this effect in your design. The degree of transparency in printing process depends on many factors like  paper, ink and the printing method used.  

  • Use color mode as CMYK .

    Prepare all your files using CMYK color mode. Make sure the color mode is not set to RGB. If you are not sure of the colour mode of your file, we can always convert this for you. Its important to keep in mind this can cause the colours to change from the original artwork file.

  • Resolution of over 150 dpi.

    Make sure the resolution of the images and graphics in your artwork are over 150 dpi to make images look crisp.  

  • Keep 10 mm safety margin all around.

    Keep all images and text  at least 10 mm inside from the edge of the finished size.  

  • Save your file(s) in non-editable, print-ready format.

    Save your files in a non-editable, print-ready file formats (PDF , AI, EPS, JPG, PNG). Deliver your files in one layer: the background layer.

  • Submission specifications for contour cutting.

    Your design is required to have a contour cutline set up on a separate layer, and made from a spot color called "cutcontour" of only 100% Magenta in a PDF file. Your design should run 3mm outside the contour cut line (bleed), This is to ensure the design is cut without any white borders.
