What is a poster and how can it be used?
A poster simply means an unfolded sheet of paper. They are large in size and can be pasted or suspended from walls, columns, windows and plates. Large-sized posters are preferred by our customers as they offer visibility and grasp the attention of the people.
You can use posters to introduce your business to your customers. They can also be used to provide information about your business or to promote any offers and discounts.
What materials are used in the production of standard banners?
We use 200gsm paper poster for indoor and yupo poster for indoor or outdoor use. Yupo poster material is water and weatherproof. They are the preferred choice of our customers who are looking to order a large quantity at affordable rates.
Do you fold the affiche when they are delivered?
No. We roll our posters if they are large in size or simply lay them flat if they are small. We don’t fold them for delivery.
What is the turnaround time for standard posters?
Our standard posters are available for next-day dispatch to your location or available for pickup from our warehouse in derrimut victoria 3026. You must provide us with all your artwork before the cut-off time mentioned on the Products Page . This allows us to send the posters into production on time.
Note: Every time you miss the deadline, the delivery date goes up by a day. Thus, you must provide us everything in time if you want the posters to be delivered to you on time.
What are the production techniques used in the creation of posters?
We use digital printing for the production of posters. We use CMYK colours with different inks and toners to bring your prints to life. This is the most affordable way to print the posters. There are fewer components involved in printing and there is also no ink-drying time. The starting cost is also less as compared to other methods of printing.
Which carriers do you use to deliver your posters?
We prefer using Startrack because of its highest reliability. However, we may use any other courier company as we may deem fit.
Can I request a quote if I can’t find the product I am looking for?
Yes, you can request a quote if you can’t find what you are looking for. You can also ask for a quote if the product you want to order has a different specification, size, quantity or material type than what is mentioned on our website. We usually take a day to come back with the quote. However, complex quotations may take a little longer.
Add 3 mm bleed all around.
To allow slight cutting differences in production, always add a bleed of 3 mm bleed around all edges of your design. Make sure background images, colours, pictures and layouts extend into the bleed area to avoid leaving white lines as a result of cutting variations. Best to submit your file with printer's marks and crop marks.
Convert fonts to outlines or embed all the fonts.
Make sure you convert fonts to outlines or embed all the fonts when saving it to PDF.
Fonts should be at least 6 pt.
All Fonts used in your artwork should be at least 6 pt.
Check your artwork on overprint.
Ensure no elements in your artwork are set on overprint. Unless you want this effect in your design. The degree of transparency in printing process depends on many factors like paper, ink and the printing method used.
Use color mode as CMYK .
Prepare all your files using CMYK color mode. Make sure the color mode is not set to RGB. If you are not sure of the colour mode of your file, we can always convert this for you. Its important to keep in mind this can cause the colours to change from the original artwork file.
Resolution of at least 300 dpi.
Make sure the resolution of the images and graphics in your artwork are over 150 dpi to make images look crisp.
Keep 4 mm safety margin all around.
Keep all images and text at least 4 mm inside from the edge of the finished size.
Save your file(s) in non-editable, print-ready format.
Save your files in a non-editable, print-ready file formats (PDF , AI, EPS, JPG, PNG). Deliver your files in one layer: the background layer. Lines should be at least 0.25 pt. Lines should be at least 0.25 pt. Negative lines should be at least 0.5 pt.
Make sure the ink coverage is not higher than 300%.
Force Color Images to CMYK with a 260% ink limit (in Photoshop > Convert Color Profile > Photoshop 5 Default CMYK). Make sure the ink coverage isn't higher than 300%.

Use the right values for full color black.
Use Rich Black (C:63% M:52% Y:51% K:100%) for larger areas and text to get a deep black color. Do not use this value for text smaller than 15 pt or plain text. This can only be used in full color printing. For designing black smaller texts use 100% black.
