      The longevity of our bollard signs depend on the UV exposure. If you are placing these signs outside, they will have a life of around 1 year. However, their life increases by many years if they are not exposed to UV light.

  • Is there extra set up fee if I order multiple designs?

    Yes, extra set up cost will be charged for multiple designs. This is because the price mentioned on the website is for one set up cost only. If you are buying multiple designs, you will get a lower bulk price. However, you will be charged a small charge for the multiple artwork files for each additional design because of their different set up techniques.    To calculate the accurate price, simply enter your total number of signs and the total number of designs in the pricing calculator. You will get the accurate price you will be charged for the order.

  • What diameter bollards are needed for bollard signs?

    The largest diameter of bollard plate to fit inside the bollard signs is 156mm for bollard signs with 270mm width. For bollard signs with 300mm width, you will need bollard plates with a diameter of 173mm.

  • What mechanism is used to hold the bollard signs together?

      Each bollard sign has slots and tabs cut into them. These can be easily joined together within seconds to set these signs up.

  • Add 5 mm bleed all around.

    To allow slight cutting differences in production, always add a bleed of 5 mm bleed around all edges of your design. Make sure background images, colours, pictures and layouts extend into the bleed area to avoid leaving white lines as a result of cutting variations. Best to submit your file with printer's marks and  crop marks.

  • Convert fonts to outlines or embed all the fonts.

      Make sure you convert fonts to outlines or embed all the fonts when saving it to PDF.

  • Fonts should be at least 12 pt.

      All Fonts used in your artwork should be at least 12 pt.

  • Check your artwork on overprint.

      Ensure no elements in your artwork are set on overprint. Unless you want this effect in your design. The degree of transparency in printing process depends on many factors like  paper, ink and the printing method used.

  • Use color mode as CMYK .

    Prepare all your files using CMYK color mode. Make sure the color mode is not set to RGB. If you are not sure of the colour mode of your file, we can always convert this for you. Its important to keep in mind this can cause the colours to change from the original artwork file.

  • Resolution of over 150 dpi.

    Make sure the resolution of the images and graphics in your artwork are over 150 dpi to make images look crisp.

  • Keep 10 mm safety margin all around.

    Keep all images and text  at least 10 mm inside from the edge of the finished size.

  • Save your file(s) in non-editable, print-ready format.

      Save your files in a non-editable, print-ready file formats (PDF , AI, EPS, JPG, PNG). Deliver your files in one layer: the background layer.
